Job summary

Ocean Longevity Shipping & Management Company Limited is seeking a dedicated professional to assist in post-fixture activities within international shipping operations. You will handle hire/freight statements, laytime calculations, and related expense filing.

The role requires a maritime/shipping degree, strong English and Chinese, and solid MS Office skills. You will engage with charterers and manage final account settlements, with a discretionary bonus and group medical insurance offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in maritime/shipping or related field.
• Good command of written and spoken Chinese and English.
• Sound computer knowledge, especially in MS Office.

Job description

This position reports to the Freight Manager and is a key contributor to the overall success of the Freight Team under the Chartering Department. The role involves assisting in post fixture activities within international shipping operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in post fixture activities such as issuing hire/freight statements and vessel laytime calculation
• Filing of freight/hire statement and port/ship repair expenses
• Handle speed claim and off-hire calculation
• Calculate and negotiate demurrage/despatch settlement
• Accountable for collection of final accounts and payment of brokerage
• Communication with charterers (including delivery notice, on/off hire survey, LOI and other post fixture issues, but not including contact with the ship and agent)

About you

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in maritime/shipping or related field
