Job summary

Yan Yue Tong Limited, a Hong Kong-based diversified specialty store, is looking for a skilled Buyer to manage purchase orders, replenishment, and inventory for its food and wellness range. You will ensure compelling product displays, accurate shelf tagging, and active collaboration with marketing and operations teams in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role requires a degree in merchandising or related field and at least 3 years of FMCG/retail buying experience, with strong English,

Qualifications

• Degree holder in Merchandising or business-related disciplines.
• Minimum 3 years buying experience in FMCG/retail.
• Knowledge of food products is required.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Detail-minded with strong analytical ability.
• Fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Process purchase orders and replenishment ordering.
• Maintain product facing & shelf tag regularly.
• Maintain efficient inventory level to meet business needs and minimized Damage & Loss ratio.
• Maintain in-store promotion, layout and product display.
• Support the production of selling & promotion materials and training course material development.
• Gather market intelligence for price comparison and product evaluation.
• Analyze market trends, sales performance and current inventory levels to forecast upcoming product demands and potential sales volumes.
• Prepare regular reports for management review.
• Investigate complaints and propose remedial actions to Buyer.
• Collaborate with marketing team and operation team on major corporate sales and events.

Responsibilities:

• Process purchase order, and replenishment ordering
• Maintainproduct facing & shelf tag regularly

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Merchandising or business-related disciplines
• Minimum 3 years of buying experience in FMCG/retail industry, preferably in the Food Category (Dry & Frozen)
• Knowledge offood product is required
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Detail-minded, sensitive to figures, good analytical skill with strong market sense and awareness
• Good in both written and spoken English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel,PowerPoint, etc
