HK JEBN Limited in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Senior Purchasing Officer (International Food) to drive global sourcing for snacks, health foods, and related products. You will build strong international supplier relationships, identify market opportunities, and influence product strategy while ensuring end-to-end procurement from PO to delivery and quality control.

The role requires 5+ years in purchasing or sourcing, strong negotiation and English communication skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in purchasing, trading, or sourcing, preferably in food, health supplements, or related industries.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with international suppliers.
• Proficiency in Excel, ERP, and data analytics.
• Experience building relationships and negotiating with overseas suppliers.
• Travel willingness for audits/market exploration.

Senior Purchasing Officer (International Food)

What You’ll Do

Drive global sourcing strategy for food products (multi-category);

Build strong partnerships with international suppliers and negotiate competitive terms;

Identify new product opportunities and bring fresh ideas to the table;

Ensure smooth end-to-end procurement—from PO to delivery and quality control;

Travel to overseas for supplier audits and market exploration.

What We’re Looking For

5 years+ experience in purchasing, trading, or sourcing (snacks / frozen food);

Strong business acumen, negotiation skills, and English communication ability;

Euthanasic in cooking or food tasting;

Tech-savvy: Excel, ERP, and data analytics skills;

Positive, proactive, and adaptable to fast-changing global markets.

Main Duties:

Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with overseas suppliers to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and reliable supply chains;

Explore new products and categories aligned with market trends and customer needs;

Provide insights on global food and health supplement trends to support product development strategies;

Travel to South East Asia for supplier audits, negotiations, and trade events;

Communicate effectively with overseas partners to maintain strong business relationships and resolve issues promptly.

Other Essential Duties

Handle sourcing, price negotiation, payment terms, purchase orders, shipping documents, order follow‑up, and payment arrangements;

Maintain current product supply and ensure stable quality standards;

Coordinate delivery schedules and manage shipping documentation;

Collaborate with internal teams (warehouse, quality control) to ensure smooth stock replenishment and consistent product quality.

Requirements

Holder of Hong Kong driving license and International Driving Permit (Hong Kong and IDP) is a must;

Minimum 5 years in purchasing, trading, or sourcing, preferably in food, health supplements, or related industries;

Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Science, or related disciplines;

Strong negotiation and communication skills with proven ability to engage international suppliers;

Proficiency in English (spoken and written) for global business interactions;

Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience and data analytics capability are a plus;

Adaptable to fast-changing procurement policies and global market dynamics;

Energetic, proactive, and entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for global sourcing;

Customer‑focused, disciplined, and a collaborative team player;

Candidates with less experience will be considered for the position of Senior Purchasing Coordinator.
