Job summary

OOCL in Hong Kong is seeking a Senior Officer, Recruitment & Training, Fleet Personnel to assist the Unit Head in sourcing, recruiting, and developing qualified sea staff, while monitoring their performance and progress.

You will identify training needs, design plans and programs, coordinate and monitor implementation for sea staff and cadets, manage the crew e-learning platform and CES, and prepare promotion recommendations for Management approval.

Qualifications

• University degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience.
• Strong learning agility and a proactive approach to personal and professional development.
• Sound knowledge of the Employment Ordinance.
• Diligent, meticulous, and self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Mature, well-organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office application.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Unit Head in sourcing, recruiting, and developing qualified sea staff, while monitoring their performance.
• Identify training needs and develop training plans, including sourcing training content and designing the framework and structure of training programs.
• Coordinate, facilitate, and monitor the implementation of training programs for sea staff and relevant stakeholders.
• Support cadet recruitment and contribute to the administration, development, and sustainability of the Cadet Program.
• Administer the crew e-learning platform and Crew Evaluation System (CES) under the guidance of the Unit Head.
• Review performance assessments and consolidate promotion recommendations for sea staff for Management approval.
