Opearl LNG Ship Management Company Limited is seeking a training and crew development professional. You will analyze training requirements based on international standards, organize program development, and oversee implementation and evaluation across the fleet.
The role includes coordinating pre-joining briefings, SMS familiarization, and crew seminars, while supporting drill planning, record-keeping, and cost management.
1. Based on international convention requirements, flag state regulations, industry standards, and other training needs feedback, combined with the company's management requirements and characteristics, conduct training needs analysis and plan development;
2. In accordance with the training plan, organize and oversee the resource development, implementation, and effectiveness evaluation of relevant training;
3. Organize pre-joining briefing, SMS familiarization, crew seminar, training arranged by other relation party and monitor crew assessments per company SMS;
4. Assist vessels in formulating their annual drill plans;
5. Develop, implement, and maintain records for shore-based personnel training plans;
6. Maintain crew database with real-time updates on: Certificate, training records, etc;
7. Support crew management and inspections/audits;
8. Handle matters related to training expenses (including processing, settling, and approving training fees).
9. Take part in crew management activities including crew rotation planning & implementation, certificate verification, expense processing and other related tasks.
Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements
1. Hold a management level certificate of competency (deck or engine), may be lowered to the Operational Level for outstanding candidates, with experience on LNG carriers is an advantages;
2. Candidates with relevant industry experience will be given priority;
3. Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a maritime or engineering discipline;
4. Thorough understanding of industry regulations, i.e. STCW, MLC, SOLAS, MARPOL, ISM, and best practices in staff training;
5. Fluent verbal and written skills in English;
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and relevant software for document management, having knowledge in utilizing AI powered tools for the work is an advantage;
7. Strong leadership, management, and communication skills for effective team coordination and stakeholder collaboration.
