Job summary

DBS Bank Ltd in Hong Kong is seeking an experienced Product Sales professional to strengthen the Fixed Income franchise by distributing products to onshore investors and supporting the platform through cash bonds, swaps, and related services.

You will build market knowledge, provide updates and trade ideas, assist in deal pitching and settlements, and help placements into investors, while maintaining regulatory compliance and strong market relationships.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in capital markets, preferably in Credit or Rates Sales.
• Degree holder.
• Data analysis experience is an advantage.
• Strong English, Cantonese and Mandarin communication skills.
• Solid relationships with market participants.
• RI license with HKSI passes (Paper 1, 7, 8) or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Distribute Fixed Income products to onshore investors.
• Assist in building Fixed Income platform through cash bonds, swaps, and related solutions.
• Support flow business with GFM Credit Trading for liquidity.
• Provide market updates and trade ideas to aid budgeting and partnerships.
• Assist in product distribution, including pitching deals, execution, and settlements.
• Aid in primary deal placements into investors and reverse inquiry private placements.
• Prepare market data reports to facilitate market-making and DCM capabilities.
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned by team head.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Strengthen DBS’s Fixed Income franchise through the distribution of Fixed Income Products to onshore investors.
• Assist in building the Fixed Income Platform through offerings in cash bonds, Swap solutions, and other value-added services such as Leverage Solutions, and Asset Enhancement Solutions for clients
• Support in facilitating flow business with GFM Credit Trading to service liquidity in bond markets with clients
• Provide regular market updates and trade ideas to that help the team achieve the financial budget with key business partners
• Assist in Fixed Income product distribution, including pitching Primary and Secondary deals, trade execution, and settlements
• Aid in Primary deal placements into investors, and driving reverse inquiry private placements
• Prepare market data reports, and sharing market information gathered to facilitate better market-making and DCM capabilities
• Perform various administrative tasks as assigned by team head (including digital project matters)

Requirements

• Degree holder with a minimum of 6 years of experience in capital markets, preferably in the field of sales advisory, specifically in Credit or Rates Sales
• Experience in data analysis and digital transformation is an advantage
• Good interpersonal skills, a good grasp on product knowledge in Fixed Income cash bonds
• Experience or knowledge in derivatives relevant to Fixed Income such as Interest-Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, CDS, REPOs and other related products would be ideal
• Solid business relationships with market participants
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with good business acumen
• Strong data analytical mindset and ability to formulate business strategies in changing market conditions
• A team player, with strong mindset to be compliant with regulations in responsible dealing
• Fulfillment of requirements under the Enhanced Competency Framework on Treasury Management is preferred
• Good command of written and verbal communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• RI license holder with passes in HKSI Licensing Exam (Paper 1, 7 , 8) or equivalent
