Job summary

DBS Bank in Hong Kong is seeking a seasoned Fixed Income sales professional to strengthen the distribution of Fixed Income products to onshore investors. You will help build the Fixed Income Platform with cash bonds and swap solutions, and support liquidity through GFM Credit Trading.

You will deliver market updates, trade ideas, and assist in primary deal placements. Strong knowledge of Fixed Income and derivatives, plus 6+ years in capital markets, are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of experience in capital markets, preferably in sales advisory (Credit or Rates Sales).
• Experience in data analysis and digital transformation is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of Fixed Income cash bonds.
• Experience or knowledge in Fixed Income derivatives (IRS, CCIRS, CDS, REPOs).

Responsibilities

• Strengthen DBS’s Fixed Income franchise through distribution to onshore investors.
• Assist in building the Fixed Income Platform with cash bonds and swap solutions.
• Support flow business with GFM Credit Trading to service liquidity in bond markets.
• Provide market updates and trade ideas to help meet budget with partners.
• Assist in Fixed Income product distribution, including pitching deals, execution and settlements.
• Aid in primary deal placements into investors and reverse inquiry private placements.
• Prepare market data reports to facilitate market-making and DCM capabilities.
• Perform administrative tasks as assigned by team head, including digital projects.

• Support in facilitating flow business with GFM Credit Trading to service liquidity in bond markets with clients
• Provide regular market updates and trade ideas to that help the team achieve the financial budget with key business partners

Requirements

• Degree holder with a minimum of 6 years of experience in capital markets, preferably in the field of sales advisory, specifically in Credit or Rates Sales
• Experience in data analysis and digital transformation is an advantage
• Good interpersonal skills, a good grasp on product knowledge in Fixed Income cash bonds
• Experience or knowledge in derivatives relevant to Fixed Income such as Interest-Rate Swaps, Cross Currency Swaps, CDS, REPOs and other related products would be ideal
• Solid business relationships with market participants
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills with good business acumen
• Strong data analytical mindset and ability to formulate business strategies in changing market conditions
• A team player, with strong mindset to be compliant with regulations in responsible dealing
• Fulfillment of requirements under the Enhanced Competency Framework on Treasury Management is preferred
• Good command of written and verbal communication skills in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin
• RI license holder with passes in HKSI Licensing Exam (Paper 1, 7 , 8) or equivalent
