Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group (Global) Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a Finance Data Analyst to support reporting, analytics, and system improvements. The role emphasizes UAT, data validation, and performance of finance transformation initiatives.

You will leverage Excel, Power BI, Python and SAP to deliver accurate management reports and drive efficiency across financial processes. Prior experience in insurance-oriented finance projects is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related discipline.
• Qualified or pursuing professional accounting qualifications (HKICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent).
• 3+ years in financial reporting, data analytics, system implementation, UAT testing, and project support (insurance sector preferred).
• Advanced Excel skills with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, Python, and automation tools.
• Knowledge of SAP, finance transformation, reporting automation, and system enhancements.

Responsibilities

• Supported finance system enhancement and transformation initiatives, including UAT preparation, test execution, issue tracking, documentation, and SAP upgrade projects.
• Participated in month-end closing activities and finance control processes, including allocation reviews, system output validation, and journal posting support.
• Prepared management reports and conducted financial data analysis to support business decision-making and reporting requirements.
• Analyzed and structured large datasets to facilitate system testing, reconciliations, exception reporting, and management reviews.
• Utilized Excel, Power BI, Power Query, and data analytics tools to perform financial and operational analysis.
• Contributed to reporting automation, process enhancement, and ad hoc finance transformation projects.
