Job summary

Gravitas Recruitment Group Hong Kong is seeking a Data Business Analyst (Insurance Finance) to partner with Finance, Actuarial, and business stakeholders, gathering and documenting data and reporting requirements.

You will translate business needs into functional specs, data mappings, and acceptance criteria, analyze data flows across insurance and finance ecosystems, and support data migration, quality, testing, and regulatory reporting initiatives in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of BA experience in insurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of insurance finance processes (IFRS, premiums, claims, commissions, policy data).
• Hands-on data analysis, data mapping, data validation, source-to-target mapping.
• Experience with insurance platforms, finance systems, data warehouses.
• Experience in Agile environments with JIRA, user stories, UAT, and Scrum.
• Strong stakeholder management with Finance, Actuarial, Compliance, and Technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Actuarial, and business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document data and reporting requirements.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, data mappings, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Analyse and validate data flows across insurance, finance, reporting, and downstream systems.
• Support data migration, reconciliation, data quality, testing, UAT, and regulatory reporting initiatives.
• Collaborate with technology teams and business users to ensure successful delivery and process improvements.
