Job summary

Captar Partners Limited in Hong Kong seeks a Finance Manager to lead a full finance remit, from ledger integrity to budgeting and forecasting, reporting to the Financial Controller. You will own site-level financial control and project costing, while engaging with corporate finance colleagues internationally.

Ideal candidates have 8–10 years of accounting experience, HKICPA/ACCA, and fluency in English and Cantonese. This is a permanent role with strong fringe benefits and a clear career path.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally within an engineering environment.
• Professionally qualified (HKICPA, ACCA or equivalent), with strong technical grounding in HKFRS and project costing.
• Confident user of major ERP platforms and advanced Excel modeling skills.

Responsibilities

• Own financial control and reporting for the site, including full-set-of-books management, month-end close and variance analysis against budget.
• Provide hands-on oversight of project cost control - tracking expenditure, contract variations and procurement spend across the project portfolio.
• Lead budgeting, quarterly rolling forecasts and financial modelling, translating operational activity into forward-looking financial insight.
• Manage treasury and working capital, including cash flow forecasting and AP/AR oversight.
• Safeguard compliance with HKFRS and group control standards, acting as the key liaison for auditors and tax advisors.
• Assist in any ad hoc task when necessary.

As the business continues to mature, they are looking for a Finance Manager who can bring structure, rigor and hands‑on ownership to their financial operations. This is a role for someone who genuinely enjoys being close to the numbers - comfortable navigating complex project accounting and cost control, while also contributing to the forward‑looking budgeting and forecasting work that shapes site‑level decisions. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will sit at the intersection of financial control and business planning, working closely with both local project teams and corporate finance colleagues internationally.
