Job summary

Captar Partners Limited's client, a multinational, is seeking an Accountant to support full-set bookkeeping, monthly closing, and project cost control. You will work closely with the Finance Manager and stakeholders in a dynamic, project-based environment in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a project-based, engineering, construction or industrial environment.
• Member or final-stage student of HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent.
• Solid grounding in general accounting principles, project costing and Hong Kong tax regulations.
• Detail-oriented with the resilience to meet tight monthly reporting deadlines.
• Strong written and spoken English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly closing cycle end-to-end full-set bookkeeping, ledger reconciliations, and variance reporting against budgeted CAPEX and OPEX.
• Keep project accounting records accurate and current, tracking expenditure, contract variations and procurement spend as projects progress.
• Manage day-to-day treasury operations, including project invoicing, cash flow forecasting and AP/AR aging control.
• Act as a key point of contact for auditors and tax advisors, ensuring transactions stay aligned with HKFRS and group policy.
• Take on ad hoc finance initiatives as the local team's scope grows.
