Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking a Finance Manager for a hedge fund based in Hong Kong. The role involves managing accounting, fund accounting, and financial administration to support daily operations.

The successful candidate will handle bookkeeping, payroll coordination, month-end reporting, and liaise with external accountants and auditors. A Big 4 or Fund Admin background is welcome, with a permanent HK-based position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, office management, or business administration.
• Experience in asset management, hedge funds, family offices, PE, or financial services preferred.
• Big 4 or Fund Admin candidates are welcome.
• Sound understanding of bookkeeping, AP/AR, payroll and financial administration.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and perform day-to-day bookkeeping.
• Review fund accounting and related issues.
• Process accounts payable and receivable transactions.
• Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances.
• Coordinate invoice processing, expense tracking, and payment arrangements.
• Assist with monthly management reporting and budgeting activities.
• Liaise with external accountants, auditors, tax advisors, and corporate service providers.
• Support annual audit and statutory filing requirements.
• Manage payroll administration and coordinate with external payroll vendors.
• Provide administrative support to senior management.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and operational initiatives.
• Coordinate with external service providers and ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Support the implementation and improvement of internal processes and controls.
