Job summary

Ambition in Hong Kong is seeking a senior finance leader to oversee AP/AR, treasury, crypto accounting, and global consolidation, ensuring precise reporting and robust working capital management.

You will mentor junior staff, review journal entries and month-end close, support budgeting and forecasting, liaise with external auditors, and drive internal controls and system improvements including Xero and AI-powered tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CPA qualification required.
• 8+ years in financial and management accounting, including public accounting.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.
• Advanced Excel skills with data analysis capabilities.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to research, analyze, and resolve accounting issues with minimal supervision.
• Strong commercial awareness and sound judgment with materiality considerations.
• Quality control and self-review capabilities before escalation.
• Experience with Xero and AI tools is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead AP, AR, treasury and cash flow management for accurate reporting.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff through close processes.
• Manage cryptocurrency accounting including transaction recording and reconciliations.
• Oversee intercompany accounting and global consolidation, FX issues resolution.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and analyses.
• Ensure HKFRS/IFRS compliance and liaise with external auditors.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Drive internal controls and process improvements across finance.
• Lead or participate in ad hoc projects and system implementations.
