Job summary

Established Private Financial Services Group is seeking a Finance Manager in Hong Kong to lead the day-to-day accounting and finance function. The role requires an experienced qualified accountant to manage a Finance team, review work, and ensure timely, accurate reporting.

You will oversee month-end and year-end closings, prepare management reports, coordinate audits and tax matters, and supervise staff across multiple entities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• Qualified accountant with HKICPA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent professional qualification
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Solid hands‑on experience in full‑set accounts, closing, audit and tax
• Previous experience supervising, reviewing or leading accounting staff
• Good understanding of bank reconciliations, payments, cash management and intercompany transactions
• Experience handling multiple companies or entities would be an advantage
• Experience with accounting software and systems such as Sage would be advantageous
• Experience in financial services, insurance, professional services or an international business would be an advantage
• Good command of written and spoken English and Cantonese

Responsibilities

• Oversee and coordinate the day-to-day work of the Finance team
• Review full-set accounts, month-end and year-end closing, management accounts and financial reports
• Review bank reconciliations, payments, expenses, cash flow and intercompany transactions
• Coordinate annual audits and tax matters with external auditors and professional advisers
• Review accounting and reporting for the Firm's different entities
• Ensure accounting records, supporting documents and approval procedures are properly maintained
• Monitor reporting and filing deadlines and follow up on outstanding matters
• Review the work of Finance team members and provide guidance where required
• Identify practical ways to improve and simplify Finance procedures
• Assist directly with accounting and finance work when required
