Job summary

RGA Reinsurance Company is seeking an Executive Director, Local Market Risk Management, Asia (China & Korea), to lead ERM programs and ensure robust risk governance across Asia. The role collaborates with regional and corporate teams to align risk appetite with local regulations and business strategy.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in ERM, strong leadership, and fluency in English and Mandarin; Korean is a plus.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field (business, economics, actuarial, or equivalent).
10+ years of enterprise risk management or related experience.
Strong communication across diverse stakeholders and cultures.
ERM governance and risk framework familiarity.

Responsibilities

Lead the ERM program implementation and ongoing effectiveness in local markets with regional collaboration.
Drive consistent adoption of corporate risk governance in assigned markets.
Support management to identify, assess and manage risks for sustainable growth.
Lead local risk communications to regional risk management.
Implement regional and corporate risk initiatives within the local market.
Run local Risk Committees to strengthen oversight and escalate issues timely.
Coordinate responses to regulatory inquiries and build forward-looking compliance risk framework.
Collaborate with Regional Financial and Operational Risk Managers on risk assessment.
