Job summary

Leadingnation in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned Risk Governance professional to oversee operational risk, regulatory compliance, and risk reporting across SEA entities from Hong Kong. You will drive standards, manage stakeholder relations, and collaborate with regional teams to ensure timely remediation and regulatory alignment.

The role requires experience in financial institutions, fluent English and Chinese, and the ability to communicate with regulators and senior leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree holder; risk management or regulatory compliance background preferred.
• 4 years of experience in financial institutions preferred, with regional exposure a plus.
• Experience implementing operational risk frameworks and understanding bank business lines.
• Fluency in English and Chinese with strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational risk governance across SEA entities, including OR-2, RACAs, KRIs, loss event databases, BCP, outsourcing risk, and product due diligence.
• Identify emerging operational risks and coordinate mitigations aligned with Basel III and regulatory expectations.
• Oversee SEA compliance programs, monitor regulatory developments, and supervise corrective measures for gaps.
• Provide guidance on business compliance and risk management; conduct thematic and onsite reviews.
• Escalate critical issues promptly to ensure timely resolution and transparency.
• Drive adoption of group risk policies across SEA entities and align local practices with regional standards.
• Consolidate regional risk data into executive reports, highlighting gaps, remediation progress, and cross-border risks.
• Foster risk ownership through collaboration with regulators and internal stakeholders across SEA.
