Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is seeking a meticulous ETF Operations professional to support the end-to-end lifecycle of ETFs in the primary market. You will oversee ETF creation and redemption processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain high service standards.

The role requires prior ETF operations experience, strong analytical capabilities, and a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accountancy, Economics or related discipline.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ETF operations, depository, custodial or settlement services.
• 3-5 years’ relevant experience, preferably in financial institutions with supervisory exposure.
• Excellent written and verbal English and Chinese; Putonghua is a plus.
• Proactive, adaptable, capable of managing multiple tasks with good analytics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily ETF creation and redemption processes and related payments and reconciliations.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for ETF launches and onboarding.
• Prepare training materials and deliver internal training sessions.
• Lead process improvement initiatives and coordinate testing through to implementation.
• Work with technology teams and vendors to enhance workflows and controls.
• Identify and elevate risks and contingency scenarios to management.
• Draft and maintain internal procedures, workflows, and business requirements.
