Job summary

Hong Kong Exchanges & Clearing Ltd. is seeking an Associate to support the end-to-end ETF services lifecycle in the Operations Division, focusing on accurate ETF creation/redemption, settlements, and regulatory adherence.

The role requires strong analytical skills and teamwork across internal and external stakeholders. You will help design training materials, drive process improvements, and coordinate with IT partners to enhance workflows while maintaining high service standards in a busy market

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accountancy, Economics, or related field.
• Knowledge of ETF operations, depository, custodial, or settlement services.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial institutions with supervisory exposure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and support daily ETF creation/redemption processes, payment activities, and reconciliations; shift work may be required.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate business operations, ETF launches, and onboarding, including ETF agreements review/validation.
• Prepare and deliver internal training sessions, including materials and presentations.
• Lead initiatives and ad-hoc projects to enhance process and market efficiency; coordinate test cases and UAT through to implementation.
• Work with technology teams and vendors to improve workflows and systems, ensuring high service standards.
• Maintain a strong risk-management mindset and escalate issues to management when needed.
• Draft and maintain internal procedures and guidelines.
• Document operational procedures, process flows, business requirements, and functional specifications.
