Job summary

Job description

The ESG Analyst will play a key role in building and integrating full ESG capabilities across our portfolio companies and consultancy projects. Additionally, this role will support core group-level sustainability functions, including driving ESG initiatives within new energy businesses, refreshing the Group decarbonisation roadmap, analysing key ESG metrics, and delivering administrative and operational support to the Group's ESG Committee.

The Role

• Support new and existing portfolio companies/ consultancy projects in embedding ESG considerations into corporate and business-unit strategic planning.
• Conduct international policy research and perform benchmarking and gap analyses comparing the company's ESG performance against industry peers and global standards.
• Assist in the formulation, implementation, and tracking of ESG strategies, policies, and decarbonisation roadmaps.
• Collect, validate, and analyse ESG metrics across internal departments and stakeholders to drive continuous sustainability improvement.
• Calculate Scope 1, 2, and 3 Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions adhering to international standards (e.g. GHG Protocol, ISO 14064).
• Support the drafting and publication of ESG reports, investor disclosures, and sustainability presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide administrative and operational support to the Group's ESG Committee, including meeting preparation and follow-up tracking.

The Person

• A bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Business/ ESG Management, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in ESG consultancy, advisory, or corporate sustainability roles.
• Solid understanding of core sustainability issues, decarbonisation strategies, and environmental footprint reduction methods.
• Proven experience in GHG emissions accounting (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and global reporting frameworks.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and Chinese word processing is essential.
• Familiarity with digital tools, content management systems (CMS), or emerging sustainability software is a distinct advantage.
• Occasional travel to the Mainland China is required.
