Job summary

The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) invites a capable engineer to join our team in Hong Kong. You will promote gas and new energy applications, build solid relationships with business owners, and manage proposals and offers to customers.

You will handle town gas design, advise on C&I appliances and boiler systems, and lead energy projects such as hydrogen and CHP with budgeting and timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Building Services, Mechanical Eng., Electrical Eng. or relevant engineering disciplines.
• Minimum 2 years of work experience; candidates with more experience will be considered as Engineer.
• Experience on green energy projects is an advantage.
• Good command of English and Chinese; Putonghua is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Promote gas & new energy applications and establish closer client relationships.
• Perform account management including proposal preparation and offers to customers.
• Handle town gas design including supply and recommendations for C&I appliances, steam and hot water boiler systems, and desiccant air-conditioning.
• Plan and implement new energy projects (e.g., hydrogen, CHP) with resource allocation and budgeting.
• Monitor market information, regulations, and prepare tender documents and safety reports.

Job description

Explore and capture the growing business by promoting gas & new energy applications

Establish and secure closer client relationships with business owners

Perform account management including proposal preparation and offer to customers

Handle town gas design including town gas supply and provide recommendations to customers, e.g C&I appliances, steam and hot water boiler system and desiccant air-conditioning

Keep up with technical expertise and know-hows for different gas installations and gas applications

Plan and implement new energy projects such as hydrogen and methanal application, combined heat-and-power system, ensuring effective resource allocation, timelines, sustainable financing and budget management

Closely monitor the competitive business environment and keep track of updated market information by conducting technical and market research

Monitor updates to local regulations and Codes of Practice for gas & new energy applications.

Prepare tender documents and assist in the preparation of sales and management reports

Prepare and submit technical & safety documentation for green energy projects to relevant authorities (e.g. EMSD and FSD)

The Person:

Bachelor’s Degree or above in Building Services, Mechanical Engineering , Electrical Engineering or relevant engineering disciplines

Minimum 2 years of work experience in related fields; candidate with more experience will be considered as Engineer

Candidate with proven experience on green energy projects is an advantage

Good command in both written and spoken English and Chinese. Fluency in Putonghua is an added advantage

Holder of a valid driving license (private car) is an advantage

Able to manage projects independently and work under pressure Multi-tasking, creative, self-motivated and enthusiastic
