Job summary

Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) is seeking a seasoned Procurement Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day procurement activities, drive process optimisation, and lead vendor and system enhancements across the organisation in Asia. The role requires close collaboration with Finance, IT, and business units to embed best practices and compliant procurement controls.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of relevant procurement operations experience.
• Solid understanding of RFQ/PO/WO processes and supplier onboarding.
• Experience in engineering/manufacturing sectors preferred.
• Strong analytical, stakeholder management, vendor management, and negotiation skills.
• Bilingual English and Chinese; MS Office; ERP/Procurement systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement operations and back-office processes, including PO/WO review, RFQ-to-PO workflow supervision, supplier onboarding, system maintenance, issue resolution, and policy compliance.
• Drive procurement process standardisation, governance improvement, and adoption of better sourcing practices across business units while maintaining flexibility for different requirements.
• Lead procurement system enhancements, including ERP workflow improvements, user requirement collection, user acceptance testing, defect resolution, training, change communication, and post-implementation support.
• Act as the key procurement liaison for internal users and suppliers on system and process-related matters, ensuring users understand updated workflows and suppliers are connected to procurement platforms and requirements.
• Support internal change management for procurement initiatives, including communication planning, training delivery, stakeholder engagement, adoption tracking, feedback collection, and reinforcement of new processes across business units.
• Manage vendor relationships, including performance monitoring, service review meetings, issue escalation, contract compliance, renewal coordination, and continuous improvement discussions.
• Support commercial negotiation and value improvement initiatives with vendors, including price review, service level discussion, contract term alignment, cost optimization, and rebate / saving opportunities.
