Job summary

Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) is a leading provider of engineering services in Hong Kong and Asia. We invite applications for the position of Assistant Sales Engineer to support sales managers with activities for water pump systems, HVAC equipment and building services solutions.

The role involves tender preparation, project coordination, customer follow-up and quality inspection support, with travel within Hong Kong and occasional travel to Mainland China as required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in sales engineering, building services, HVAC, fire services, pumps or related industries.
• Good command of English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.

Responsibilities

• Sales activities and business development support for water pumps, fire-rated duct systems and HVAC products.
• Tender preparation and project coordination to ensure successful handover between sales, operations and customers.
• Quality assurance & supplier coordination including factory visits and QC reports.

The Assistant Sales Engineer will be responsible for assisting the Sales Manager with sales activities and delivery coordination for water pump systems, fire-rated duct products, HVAC equipment and other building services solutions. The role also includes tender preparation, project coordination, customer follow-up and quality inspection support. The candidate will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and manufacturers. Travel within Hong Kong and occasional travel to Mainland China may be required.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development Support

• Sales activities for water pumps, fire-rated duct systems and HVAC products.
• Identify business opportunities and maintain customer relationships.
• Attend customer meetings, site visits and product presentations.
• Follow up on enquiries, RFQs and sales opportunities.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, cost estimates and sales contracts.

Tendering & Project Coordination

• Prepare and coordinate technical submissions, project documents and correspondence.
• Support project handover and coordination between sales, operations and customers.
• Coordinate project activities, including material delivery.
• Follow up on billing, progress claims, variation quotations.

Quality Assurance & Supplier Coordination

• Conduct factory visits and QC of Fire Rated Coating Applicator in China.
• Coordinate with suppliers on production schedules, inspection findings and follow-up actions.
• Prepare inspection and QC reports.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in sales engineering, building services, HVAC, fire services, pumps or related industries.
• Customer-oriented, proactive and willing to learn.
• Willing to travel Mainland China when required.
• Good command of English and Chinese, including Cantonese and Putonghua.
