Job summary

Jardine Engineering Corporation (JEC) is seeking a Building Services/Mechanical Engineer in Hong Kong to oversee site activities, liaise with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with contracts and regulations. The role involves tender support, drawing submissions, and project coordination across Asia Pacific.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of experience in fitting-out and A&A works, with strong technical knowledge and proficiency in English and Chinese.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor overall site activities and liaise with clients, suppliers, subcontractors and project teams.
• Participate in preparing tender, budget proposals, drawings and equipment submissions as well as project coordination.
• Provide technical advice to ensure site installation works comply with contractual and statutory requirements.
• Monitor progress with periodic site inspections, testing and commissioning, and follow up on defect rectification.

Job Duties

• Monitor overall site activities and liaise with different stakeholders including clients, suppliers, subcontractors as well as project teams throughout the whole project;
• Participate in preparing tender, budget proposal, drawing and equipment submission as well as project coordination and management;
• Provide technical advice and guidance to project teams and subcontractors to ensure all site installation works are complying with contractual and statutory requirement;
• Monitor the progress of project and conduct periodic site inspection, testing and commissioning of building services installations and follow up on defect rectification work if required.

Job Requirements

• Degree holder in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical Engineering (Preferred background in air-conditioning or fire services);
• Minimum 3 years related experience, especially fitting-out and A&A works;
• Proficient knowledge of building services installation and relevant statutory regulations;
• A good team player with agile mindset. Strong project management, problem-solving and communication skills are essential;
• Good command of both English and Chinese;
• Proficient in MS Office Project and AutoCAD;
