Job Summary:
This position is responsible for overseeing interior renovation projects for residential, office, and commercial properties in Hong Kong. The candidate must have exceptional construction management experience, leadership abilities, and a keen attention to detail. The role ensures that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Additionally, the manager will monitor site safety, quality control, schedule management, cost control, contractor coordination, and material logistics, while reporting to the Project Manager and leading the project team.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management: Oversee the entire project execution, ensuring progress aligns with the scheduled plan, budget, and design quality requirements. Conduct site inspections and ensure the safety of the site while addressing any unforeseen issues.
Team Leadership: Guide and coordinate various contractors and consultants, ensuring the construction process operates efficiently. Act as the liaison between the company and contractors, leading the project team to execute cost-effective engineering work and control project costs.
Quality Control: Regularly inspect and accept work on-site to ensure that construction quality and safety comply with company standards and Hong Kong regulations. Handle major technical and acceptance issues during the construction process.
Management Communication: Maintain close communication with management and contractors, providing regular updates on project progress. Oversee the development of construction plans, material schedules, and clear goals related to equipment delivery, quality, safety, and progress. Manage design changes, project verification, payment claims, and data compilation. Lead and manage the project team, resolving key issues, ensuring smooth information flow, and possessing strong site management and problem-solving skills.
Resource Management: Manage resources (including materials and equipment on-site), ensuring timely procurement and efficient logistics management to avoid resource waste and ensure smooth project progress.
Compliance Management: Ensure that all projects comply with Hong Kong building regulations and company policies.
Work Reporting: Attend project meetings regularly and provide progress reports based on the project schedule.
Qualifications:
Minimum of five years of experience in renovation project management.
Proven experience in site management with strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and handle complex issues efficiently.
Able to work under pressure and maintain high performance in a fast-paced environment.
Strong planning and management skills.
Experience with construction in both Hong Kong and Mainland China is highly preferred.
Familiarity with interior renovation works, including measurement, alterations, and additions (A&A) projects.
Proficient in interpreting construction drawings and technical specifications, and skilled in using CAD and other drawing software.
Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Immediate availability is preferred.
