Job summary

UBS AG in Hong Kong seeks an Integrated Middle Office Specialist to provide operational support across the trade lifecycle, from inception to settlement, while maintaining a strong focus on risk and control. You will engage with Front Office, Operations, Settlements and other stakeholders to resolve issues and drive process improvements.

The role requires 2–3 years in IB operations or related areas, a solid understanding of trade lifecycle processes, and strong communication skills to operate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent.
• 2–3 years in IB operations, Cash Equity, Fixed Income, Derivatives middle office, settlement, or related areas.
• General understanding of trade lifecycle processes and front-to-back operational flows.
• Ability to learn quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good working knowledge of Excel and other productivity tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational support across a range of products and business activities throughout the trade lifecycle, from trade inception to settlement, maturity, and related lifecycle events.
• Manage day-to-day trade support activities, ensuring timely and accurate processing with a strong focus on risk and control.
• Engage with Front Office, Operations, Settlements, Confirmations, Legal, Compliance, Finance, Technology and external counterparties as applicable.
• Investigate, review and resolve complex trade and operational issues, coordinating between stakeholders.
• Analyze workflows and partner with stakeholders to identify and implement process improvements and efficiency gains.
• Support change initiatives, process enhancements, new business activities, system implementations, and user acceptance testing.
• Understand and adhere to risk and control framework; ensure controls are performed and exceptions managed.
• Contribute to regulatory, management and operational reporting to stay compliant.
