Job summary

Cambium Grove Capital (CGC) is a Hong Kong-based multi-strategy investment firm focusing on AI infrastructure, including AI data centers, neocloud operators and related energy assets. The role anchors in private equity, screening opportunities through to closing and overseeing portfolio assets, with mezzanine financing where suitable.

Under partners' guidance, you will work across venture and growth, and special situations, with a strong emphasis on learning and cross-sector insights.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of investing, investment banking, project finance, or data center financing experience.
• Experience with AI infrastructure investments or data center financing preferred.
• Strong understanding of AI data centers: power, cooling, GPU servers, and operations.
• Knowledge of energy markets and power procurement, including PPAs.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and structuring skills; exposure to project finance.
• Willingness to work across private equity, venture and growth, and special situations.
• Fluent English and Mandarin; additional regional languages a plus.
• Engineering, finance or economics background; CFA or similar is a plus.
• Eligible for RO status with SFC is a plus.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage senior counterparties.

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate investment opportunities in AI data centers, neocloud operators, AI infrastructure and related energy assets.
• Lead technical, commercial, financial and legal due diligence, covering site selection and power supply, cooling and construction, GPU procurement and supply chain, and customer and offtake contracts.
• Build financial models covering project returns, GPU pricing and resale value, utilization, power costs and financing structure, and prepare investment papers for the partners.
• Structure equity and mezzanine positions, negotiate term sheets and transaction documents, and manage each transaction through to closing.
• Oversee investments after closing, tracking construction milestones, operating and financial performance, customer contracts and lender covenants, and report regularly to the partners and investors.
• Work with lawyers, technical advisers, accountants and tax advisers, and build relationships with banks and private credit funds that lend alongside CGC's equity.
• Support the partners on venture and growth and special situations transactions as opportunities arise.
