King Deux Search & Consulting is assisting an Asia-based private markets firm seeking a Private Equity Professional focused on AI infrastructure. You will screen opportunities in AI data centres, lead multi-disciplinary due diligence, model returns and financing, and drive deals from structuring to close.

You will collaborate with Partners across private equity, venture and growth, and be based in Asia with exposure to global live deals. English and Mandarin fluency is essential, with CFA a plus.

Competenze

• 3+ years (associate) or 8+ years (director/VP) in PE, IB, project finance, or data centre/infrastructure investing.
• Experience in data centre financing or AI infra transactions.
• Understanding of AI data centres operations and monetisation.
• Knowledge of energy markets and power procurement; PPAs are a plus.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and structuring; mezzanine experience.
• Willingness to work across PE, venture and growth, and special situations.
• Fluent English and Mandarin; Japanese/Korean a plus.
• Bachelor’s in engineering/finance/economics; CFA is a plus.
• SFC RO status for Type 4/9 is a plus.
• Analytical, communication and presentation skills; able to work with senior counterparties.

Private Equity Professional – AI Infrastructure

About Your Company

An established Asia-based private markets firm, investing across the capital structure. The team covers private equity alongside venture and growth, special situations, and real assets, with a current focus on digital infrastructure and the energy assets that support it. This is a private equity seat. Equity is the preferred instrument, with mezzanine used where it suits the transaction. Team presence across HK, SG, Shanghai and Japan with ongoing live deals in Asia Pacific and US. This is an expansion headcount, you will work directly with Partners.

About your role

• Screen and evaluate opportunities in AI data centres, specialist GPU-cloud operators, related digital infrastructure, and the energy assets that power them.
• Lead technical, commercial, financial and legal due diligence, covering site and power, cooling and construction, GPU procurement and supply chain, and customer offtake contracts.
• Build models for project returns, GPU pricing and residual value, utilisation, power cost and financing structure, and prepare investment papers for the partners.
• Structure equity and mezzanine positions, negotiate term sheets and transaction documents, and run each deal through to closing.
• Oversee assets after closing: construction milestones, operating and financial performance, customer contracts and lender covenants, with regular reporting to the partners and investors.
• Coordinate external lawyers, technical advisers, accountants and tax advisers, and build lending relationships with banks and private credit funds.
• Support the partners on venture and growth and special situations work as those opportunities arise.

What you will need to succeed

• 3+ years (for associate) 8+ years (for director / vp) in private equity investing, investment banking, project finance, or in developing, financing or operating data centres, digital infrastructure or energy assets.
• Priority for firsthand experience in data centre financing, AI-related investments, or transactions involving AI infrastructure, specialist GPU-cloud operators, or related energy assets.
• A working grasp of how AI data centres operate and make money: power, cooling, GPU servers, networking, construction and operations.
• Working knowledge of energy markets and power procurement, including clean energy and power purchase agreements. Familiarity with the semiconductor and GPU supply chain is a plus.
• Strong financial modelling, valuation and structuring, with equity and mezzanine experience and exposure to project finance.
• Willingness to work across private equity, venture and growth, and special situations, and to learn new sectors and transaction types.
• Fluent written and spoken English and Mandarin. Japanese, Korean, Bahasa Indonesia or another regional language is a plus.
• A strong degree from a reputable university, ideally in engineering, finance or economics. CFA or a similar qualification is a plus.
• Holding, or being eligible to hold, SFC Responsible Officer status for Type 4 and Type 9 is a plus.
• Clear analytical, communication and presentation skills, and the maturity to deal with senior counterparties and work independently in a flat structure.
