Job summary

Amazon Data Services Hong Kong Limited is seeking an experienced Data Center Operations Manager to lead large teams responsible for the design, delivery and operation of world class data centers in Hong Kong. You will coordinate day-to-day activities, ensure safety, reliability and cost efficiency, and collaborate with cross‑functional partners to keep services running at scale.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of people management experience in data center environments.
• Strong knowledge of change, problem and incident management.
• Security and customer data protection expertise.
• Excellent communication and team coaching abilities.
• Fluent in Chinese and English (written and spoken).
• Experience with annual budgeting, Capex and Opex concepts.
• Proven project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage performance of teams of data center operation professionals.
• Oversee day-to-day data center operations including queue management, 24/7 shift planning, and hardware logistics.
• Becoming subject matter expert across all aspects in data center operations.
• Ensure operational KPIs and metrics are measured and met.
• Inspire and guide improvement in team processes, technology innovation and automation.
• Manage Large Scale Events (outages) and act as the call leader.
• Manage and improve the workflows and throughput for data centers operations.
• Be passionate about the quality and quantity of services provided, and continuously strive to improve customer experience.
