Job summary

MERIT GROUP HOLDINGS LIMITED in Hong Kong seeks an Executive Manager to lead business development and oversee cross-border operations between Hong Kong and the Philippines.

The role requires 10+ years in Philippine management, Hong Kong working experience, strong English and Tagalog, and a degree in accounting or business. You will manage HK directors and Manila teams, ensure budgetary controls, and report KPI-driven results to the directors.

Qualifications

• Must have Hong Kong working experience.
• Minimum of 10 years management experience in the Philippines at the management level.
• Business-level fluency in written and spoken English and very polished Tagalog.

Responsibilities

• Cross-Cultural Team Management: bridge cultural nuances between HK directors and Manila teams.
• Virtual Collaboration Tools: proficiency with Zoom, Teams, and project management tools for virtual meetings across time zones.
• Hybrid Team Engagement: maintain high employee morale, accountability, and cohesion in asynchronous or dispersed teams.
• Cross-Border Oversight: manage regional offices; align Manila procedures with HK commercial goals.
• Performance Metric Tracking: set and monitor remote KPIs to keep Manila team productive.
• Compliance Knowledge: understanding of employment, tax and business laws in the Philippines; advise HK directors.
• HK Relationship Management: manage high-value corporate clients and stakeholders in HK.
• Corporate Etiquette: deep understanding of HK business norms and professional protocols.
• Director reporting: weekly/monthly KPI reports to Company Director during travels.
• Execute business plans to meet company goals; prepare budgets, implement financial controls, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Willing to travel and stay in the Philippines when needed.
