Job summary

Kai Tak Sports Park is seeking a Coordinator - Community Sport Operations to support daily operations at Kai Tak Arena and Youth Sports Ground. You will ensure facilities are clean, coordinate bookings, and deliver a positive customer experience.

The role requires 1–2 years in venue operations, familiarity with EMS/VBS, and a service-oriented approach. A 5-day shift roster including weekends/public holidays is possible. Full-time position at a sports/entertainment venue.

Qualifications

• Higher Diploma or above, with 1–2 years of relevant venue operations experience.
• Experience in usher service or front-of-house/event operations preferred.
• Experience managing a booking system and event management system (EMS, VBS).
• Service-oriented with professional customer service skills.
• Willing to work on a 5-day shift roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform information counter duties and respond to difficult or emergency situations.
• Manage the booking elements of facilities and assist with transactions.
• Maintain smooth operation of the venues and events by delivering excellent customer services.
• Manage the turnaround times between bookings.
• Support the Setup teams with set-ups as required.
• Communicate with relevant departments on customer feedback to review possible remedial actions and future improvements.
• Provide usher service, operation, and event support.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

About The Job Coordinator - Community Sport Operations

Department: Event Operations

Reports to: Manager - Community Sport Operations

Role Introduction

The Coordinator - Community Sport Operations (CCH) is responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Kai Tak Arena (KTA) and the Youth Sports Ground (YSG), ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently. This includes working alongside staff, ensuring the facility is clean and well-maintained, coordinating bookings and activities, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and ensuring a positive experience for customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform information counter duties and respond to difficult or emergency situations and cases.
• Manage the booking elements of facilities and assist with transactions.
• Maintain smooth operation of the venues and events by delivering excellent customer services.
• Manage the turnaround times between bookings.
• Support the Setup teams with set-ups as required.

Requirements

• Possess Higher Diploma or above, preferably with 1-2 years of relevant experience in venue operations in sports/entertainment venues, tourism, and/or hospitality sector.
• Preferably have usher service experience in sports/leisure venues or possess good knowledge of front-of-house operation/event operation.
• Experience managing a booking system and event management system, e.g. EMS, VBS.
• Be service-oriented with professional customer service skills and a positive service attitude.
• Be willing to work on shift (5-day work week) according to the duty roster assigned, including weekends and public holidays.
