InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited seeks a contract IT support professional to work on LCSD data centre operations in Wan Chai. You will operate computer hardware and servers, monitor performance, perform routine maintenance, and prepare job logs and reports.

The role requires at least 2 years total experience, plus hands-on familiarity with Windows 7/8/10, Windows Server 2008/2012, UNIX, and basic network operations.

Competenze

• Have at least 1 year of working experience in network operation.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in operating Windows 10/Windows Server 2012 or above.
• Have at least 1 year of working experience in Customer Relations.
• Experience in basic UNIX will be an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese; and
• Good communication skill is required.

• Prepare jobs according to prescribed procedures and ensure their successful completion, check completeness and ensure high quality of computer output.

Project Nature (T26)

The work location is located in Data Centre of Hong Kong Central Library, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. Most of internal computerized applications, public applications, the major network and system infrastructure of LCSD, etc. are housed inside the location. The equipment in the work location including network equipment, SAN equipment, UNIX/LINUX/Windows servers, data backup equipment, etc. Project to provide daily support services including but not limited to equipment health checking, maintenance services working with various maintenance contractors, backup tape management, equipment hosting management, incident / fault notification and reporting.
Due to the possible change of Work location, LCSD reserves the right to redeploy the man-resources to other Work location(s), such as Shatin Data Centre (STDC) or Cheung Sha Wan Data Centre (CSWDC).

Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the LCSD;

• To operate computer and associated equipment/facilities according to prescribed standards and procedures; monitor their performance; and perform routine maintenance.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of working experience in network operation.
• Have at least 1 year of experience in operating Windows 10/Windows Server 2012 or above.
• Have at least 1 year of working experience in Customer Relations.

Technical Skills:

• At least 2 years' experience in Windows 7/8/10 (W10);
• At least 1 year's experience in Windows Server 2008/2012 (W12);
• At least 1 year's experience in Internet/ Intranet (INT);
• 1 year's experience in UNIX (UNX) is an advantage.

Non-technical Skill:

• 1 year's experience in customer relations (ECR) is an advantage.
• At least Level 2 or above in 5 subjects including Chinese and English Language in HKDSEE or Grade E or above in 5 subjects, including Chinese and English Language (Syl B) in HKCEE or equivalent;
• At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in which at least 2 years' relevant experience in a similar post and in a comparable capacity.
