InfoTech Services (Hong Kong) Limited is recruiting for a contract IT infrastructure role in Hong Kong. You will support servers, storage, networks and user endpoints, perform routine maintenance, and assist in implementing IT projects for the Department.

The position requires hands-on experience and the ability to work under pressure. Responsibilities include system monitoring, security patching, disaster recovery drills, and collaboration with ICT teams and contractors.

Qualificações

At least 3 years post-qualification IT experience with 2+ years in related areas.
Experience in data centre management or relocation is preferred.
Familiarity with structured cabling and hardware troubleshooting advantageous.
Experience with enterprise network and infrastructure systems (mail, files, AD, EDR, monitoring).
Experience in Linux system installation/administration is an advantage.
Strong analytical skills, ability to work independently and communicate with users.

Responsabilidades

Install, configure and maintain IT infrastructure and endpoints.
Maintain data centre facilities and perform daily operations and inspections.
Provide technical support for departmental services (mail, file services, AD, EDR).
Collaborate with ICT teams and contractors on infrastructure projects.
Support users with IT facilities including workstations and mobile devices.
Perform security tasks: patching, updates, certificate renewals, and log reviews.
Monitor systems, perform backups, DR drills, and housekeeping tasks.
Evaluate IT products during procurement and participate in testing.

Project Nature (T26) To provide infrastructure (including servers, storage and networks) and user endpoints (including workstations, mobile devices) support for the Department, and to implement IT projects covering new and existing systems.

Duties - Serve a contract assignment under InfoTech's headcount, full-time second to serve the FSD;

To install, configure, and maintain infrastructure and user endpoints;
To maintain data centre facilities and perform daily operations such as cabling, hardware installation, and routine inspection;
To provide technical support on the departmental services including but not limited to mail services, file services, Windows Active Directory (AD), endpoint management, anti-malware and endpoint detection and response (EDR);
To collaborate with ICT team members and outsourced contractors in the implementation and delivery of IT infrastructure projects;
To provide technical and operational support for users regarding IT facilities, including workstations, laptops and smartphones;
To perform IT security tasks such as security patching, firmware updates, certificate renewals, and reviews of user account, system configurations, and security logs to ensure compliance with up-to-date security policies and guidelines;
To perform regular system monitoring, health checks, system and data backups, disaster recovery drills, and other housekeeping tasks;
To evaluation and assess IT products during procurement and to participate in the testing and implementation of new IT products and devices;
To maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT assets, software licenses, and technical documentation;
To perform any other duties related to the above as assigned by supervisor or the Government Representative from time to time;
To be able to work under pressure and willing to work overtime if required; and
To provide on-call technical support duties and perform overtime work, including work outside of normal office hours, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, as and when necessary and upon the request of the Government Representative.

Requirements

At least three (3) years&;#8217; post-qualification information technology experience of which at least two (2) years&;#8217; is in related areas;
Candidates with working experience in data centre management or relocation will be given priority;
Familiarity with structured cabling standards and hands-on experience with hardware troubleshooting will be an advantage;
Experience in supporting enterprise network and infrastructure systems such as mail system, file servers, endpoint detection and response, endpoint management, Active Directory, and/or system monitoring will be an advantage;
Experience in Linux system installation and administration will be an advantage;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and communicate effectively with users and contractors;
Good written Chinese and English, and fluent spoken Cantonese and English;
Security vetting is required; and
The successful candidate may be required to work at more than one FSD work location, including Fire Services Headquarters Building and Fire and Ambulance Services Academy.

Technical Skills:

At least 1.5 years' experience in Infrastructure (INF);
At least 1.5 years' experience in Server Virtualisation Technology (SVT);
At least 1.5 years' experience in System Implementation and Maintenance/Support (SIM);
At least 1 year's experience in Network & System Management (NSM);
At least 6 months' experience in Windows 7/8/10 (W10);
1 year's experience in Proxy Server (PRS) is an advantage;
1 year's experience in IT Security (ITS) is an advantage;
1 year's experience in Experience in Datacentre Maintenance (DCM) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Endpoint Security Solutions (ESS) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Internet Firewall Technical Support (IFW) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Microsoft Active Directory Administration (ADA) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Anti-Virus Technology (AVT) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in System Backup Operation (BKO) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Linux System Administration (LIN) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Mobile / Wireless Communication (MWC) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Router Configuration (ROU) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Storage Area Network (SAN) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Project Management Professional (PMP) (PMP) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting (ULS) is an advantage;
6 months' experience in Virtual LAN/LAN Switching (VLS) is an advantage;
