Job description

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is a statutory body established in 1966 to promote, assist and develop Hong Kong's trade. With 51 offices globally, including 13 in the Chinese Mainland, the HKTDC promotes Hong Kong as a two-way global investment and business hub.

The HKTDC organises international exhibitions, conferences and business missions to create business opportunities for companies, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in the mainland and international markets. The HKTDC also provides up-to‑date market insights and product information via research reports and digital news channels.

As we celebrate our 60th anniversary in 2026 and begin a new three-year business cycle, our mission remains as strong as ever to help Hong Kong thrive in trade and businesses succeed in the ever‑changing landscape.

We are seeking a dynamic, high‑caliber, and experienced professional to join our Team.

The appointee will lead event operations and content delivery across trade fairs and related projects, ensuring seamless execution from planning to post‑event review. The role combines end‑to‑end event operations management with content development and editorial oversight to deliver high-quality, timely and compliant outputs across physical and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cross‑functional coordination across internal teams, agencies and vendors to ensure alignment, quality delivery and adherence to timelines;
  • Monitor project risks and operational issues proactively and drive timely resolution to minimize disruption to event delivery;
  • Support post‑event evaluation, reporting and continuous improvement of operational workflows and delivery standards.
Content & Editorial Management
  • Plan, develop and edit fair‑related, marketing and sponsored content for print and digital platforms, ensuring consistency with editorial standards, house style and platform policies;
  • Provide editorial oversight across event content outputs, including exhibitor listings, show guides, promotional materials and digital content;
  • Conduct research, interviews and fact‑checking to ensure accuracy, relevance and quality of content;
  • Produce event coverage and post‑event reports, capturing key insights and outcomes.
Process & Governance

  • Maintain proper documentation, approvals and records to support governance, quality assurance and continuity;
  • Support preparation of management reports, summaries and analysis for planning and decision‑making;
  • Undertake ad hoc projects and cross‑team initiatives as assigned.
Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in event / fair operations and content production, preferably in a trade fair or exhibition environment;
  • Strong project and operations management capability, with proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects under tight timelines;
  • Excellent command of written English and Chinese, with strong editorial judgement and attention to detail;
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with ability to work across functions and external partners;
