Job summary

Integrated Global Sustainable Sourcing Limited in Hong Kong is seeking a kitchen helper to prepare ingredients, slice ham, and assist in cooking under supervision. Job description

Prepare ingredients to specification (chopping, slicing, weighing, measuring) for production.

Using the meat slicer to slice ham into required thickness, ensuring presentation and quality standards are maintained.

Assist in basic cooking tasks under supervision.

Prepare and maintain mise en place for your assigned station. Handle and store ingredients according to food safety standards.

Monitor product quality and report defects or inconsistencies to the Executive Chef.

Ensure workstations are clean, organized, and well-stocked with the necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.

Maintain a high level of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen, including regular cleaning of surfaces, utensils, and equipment.

Follow established food safety and hygiene protocols to prevent cross-contamination and ensure the quality of the final products.

We are looking for someone who is/has

2-3 years of experience in a kitchen environment, preferably in western cuisine

Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from Chefs and kitchen supervisors

Good physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods

Excellent communication skills and a positive, customer-oriented attitude.

Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, i.e. HACCP

Good command in spoken English, other languages would be an asset

Demonstrate a keen interest in western cuisine and a willingness to learn and improve culinary skills

Immediate available is highly preferred

Working days & hours

Monday to Saturday, 9 hours per day
