Job summary

Renrui Human Resources Technology (Hong Kong) Limited is seeking a Cloud Operations Engineer to independently install, configure, upgrade, migrate, and operate private cloud products, supported by strong networking and incident-management skills.

You will deploy applications in Linux, Docker and Kubernetes, diagnose production incidents, manage Kubernetes resources, monitor with Grafana and Prometheus, and perform backups and documentation tasks to ensure reliable client services in Hong Kong.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in CS/IT or related field.
• 2–4 years of Linux operations or cloud platform experience.
• Fluent in Cantonese; ability to read English technical documentation.
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes in production deployments.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, migrate and operate private cloud products.
• Deploy applications in Linux, Docker and Kubernetes per architecture and docs.
• Diagnose production incidents via logs, metrics, network and system resources.
• Manage Kubernetes resources (Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, ConfigMaps).
• Use Grafana and Prometheus to monitor systems and flag anomalies.
• Troubleshoot Linux, Nginx, MySQL and Redis.
• Assist with DNS, TCP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, ports, firewalls, NAT and load balancing issues.
• Respond to incidents and coordinate restoration of services.
• Perform backups and verify restoration per procedures.
• Create and maintain deployment docs and runbooks.

Our client, a leading Chinese software and internet services company, listed on the HK stock exchange is urgently looking for a Cloud Operations Engineer. This role involves independently executing the installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, routine inspection, and daily operations of private cloud products; backed by strong networking, and incident management skills. You will complete application deployments within Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes environments according to project architecture and deployment documentation, diagnose production incidents, and manage Kubernetes resources and common system components.

Key responsibilities

• Independently execute the installation, configuration, upgrade, migration, routine inspection, and daily operations of private cloud products
• Complete application deployments within Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes environments according to project architecture and deployment documentation
• Diagnose common production incidents and make preliminary assessments by analyzing system logs, application logs, monitoring metrics, network states, and system resources
• Manage and troubleshoot common Kubernetes resources, including Pods, Deployments, Services, Ingress, and ConfigMaps
• Utilize tools such as Grafana and Prometheus to analyze system and application metrics, promptly identifying operational anomalies and potential risks
• Troubleshoot common components such as Linux, Nginx, MySQL, and Redis
• Perform foundational analysis and localization for issues related to DNS, TCP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, ports, firewalls, NAT, load balancing, and routing, while collaborating with client network teams to resolve issues
• Respond to production incidents, determine the scope of impact, and take appropriate measures to restore services
• Execute or assist with system backups, data backups, and restoration verification, completing routine backup and recovery operations in accordance with established procedures
• Author and maintain deployment documentation, operations manuals, inspection logs, incident records, and FAQs

About you

• Bachelor's degree or above, with a preference for Computer Science, Software Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related majors
• 2 to 4 years of experience in Linux operations, private cloud environments, enterprise software implementation, or cloud platform operations
• Legal authorization to work in Hong Kong, including permanent resident status, a valid work visa, or other legally recognized working status or permits in Hong Kong
• Fluent in Cantonese for professional communication, enabling direct interaction with clients and project teams
• Ability to read English technical documentation, API specifications, product materials, and system logs
• Familiarity with Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes, backed by production deployment or operational experience
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus, with the ability to troubleshoot system anomalies based on metrics
• Basic understanding of MySQL operations, including checking connections, executing basic SQL queries, and diagnosing common issues
• Solid networking foundations to isolate whether an issue originates from the client side, load balancer, reverse proxy, application service, or backend components
• Proficiency in using tools such as curl, nc, tcpdump, and Wireshark to analyze APIs and network issues
