Job summary

Our client, a well-known financial related statutory body is looking for high‑calibre person to fill the position.

Job Duties

• University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. A postgraduate qualification is highly regarded.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or cloud operations, preferably within enterprise or regulated environments.
• In-depth expertise in Microsoft Azure/AWS/AliCloud cloud platform, including compute, networking, storage, identity, security, monitoring, backup, and cost management.
• Strong hands‑on experience in cloud infrastructure design, implementation, migration, operation, and support.
• Experience in managing cloud managed services providers, vendors, or external delivery teams, including service review, SLA monitoring, issue escalation, and service quality control.
• Solid understanding of hybrid cloud architecture, cloud landing zone design, network connectivity, identity integration, security baseline, monitoring, logging, and operational resilience.
• Hands‑on experience in infrastructure automation and scripting, such as Terraform, Python, PowerShell, Azure SDK, Infrastructure as Code, or related automation frameworks.
• Experience in developing and maintaining cloud operational SOPs, inventory records, tagging standards, monitoring dashboards, and operational reports.
• Experience supporting application teams and project delivery teams to ensure cloud infrastructure design aligns with business, security, and operational requirements.
• Good interpersonal, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Relevant professional certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect, or equivalent would be an advantage.

Job Requirements

• Oversee the daily operation, administration, and governance of the organisation’s cloud environment.
• Manage and oversee the cloud managed services provider, including service performance review, SLA monitoring, incident follow‑up, change coordination, reporting, and escalation management.
• Design, implement, and maintain cloud architecture standards covering compute, networking, storage, identity, security, monitoring, backup, logging, and cost management.
• Support the development and maintenance of cloud landing zone, network segmentation, access control, monitoring, tagging, inventory, and operational standards.
• Provide technical guidance and architecture review for cloud projects, application onboarding, cloud migration, and infrastructure modernisation initiatives.
• Collaborate with application, cybersecurity, infrastructure, compliance, procurement, and vendor teams to ensure cloud solutions meet business, security, operational, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure proper cloud security controls are implemented, including identity and access management, privileged access, role‑based access control, logging, monitoring, vulnerability remediation, and audit trail retention.
• Lead the adoption of automation solutions to improve cloud operational efficiency, consistency, reporting, compliance checking, and service reliability.
• Support disaster recovery, backup, business continuity, and operational resilience planning for cloud-hosted systems.
• Continuously evaluate new cloud technologies, tools, and services to enhance operational efficiency, security, resilience, and future organisational capability.
