Job summary

DarkLab Operations, a growing cybersecurity services firm, seeks a Senior Associate to support clients in private cloud design, architecture, and adoption across Hong Kong and the Greater China region, including Xinchuang localisation programmes.

You will review infrastructure, provide security guidance, and deliver clear reports and presentations in English and Mandarin. A relevant degree and 2–4 years’ hands‑on experience are required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years hands‑on experience in private cloud, infra, network or systems engineering/consulting.
• Hands‑on experience with at least one Chinese private cloud/virtualisation platform (Huawei, Sangfor, H3C, ZStack, or equivalent).
• Knowledge of network and security technologies—VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, WAF, and related infra.
• Windows Server and Linux administration, with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• University degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related discipline.
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, including written Chinese and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on design and architecture of private cloud and on‑premise infrastructure across HK and Greater China.
• Support adoption and migration programmes—platform selection, Chinese tech stack adoption, workload migration planning, oversight.
• Review client infrastructure—architecture reviews, configurations, security baselines, remediation recommendations.
• Advise on enterprise network architecture—routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, segmentation (Huawei/H3C/Sangfor).
• Deliver clear written reports, architecture documents, and presentations to clients.

DarkLab Operations is a growing cybersecurity services firm delivering managed defence, advisory, and technology solutions to enterprise clients. We are seeking a Senior Associate to act as a consultant supporting clients in the design, architecture, adoption, and review of private cloud, Chinese technology, and on-premise infrastructure across Hong Kong and the Greater China region, including Xinchuang (信创) localisation programmes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Advise clients on the design and architecture of private cloud and on-premise infrastructure — Huawei FusionSphere / FusionCloud, Sangfor HCI, H3C CloudOS / CAS, ZStack, Alibaba Apsara Stack, Tencent Cloud TCE — from requirements through solution blueprint
• Support client adoption and migration programmes — platform selection, Chinese technology stack adoption, workload migration planning, and implementation oversight
• Review and assess client infrastructure — architecture reviews, configuration and security baseline assessments, and remediation recommendations across private cloud, network, and data centre environments
• Advise on enterprise network architecture — routing, switching, firewalls, VPN, load balancing, and segmentation — primarily on Huawei / H3C / Sangfor equipment
• Convey pragmatic recommendations to clients through clear written reports, architecture documents, and presentations

REQUIREMENTS

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience in private cloud, infrastructure, network, or systems engineering / consulting roles
• Hands‑on experience with at least one Chinese private cloud / virtualisation platform (Huawei, Sangfor, H3C, ZStack, or equivalent)
• Knowledge of network and security technologies — VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, WAF, and related infrastructure
• Windows Server and Linux administration, with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, or Python
• University degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong communication skills in English and Chinese, including written Chinese and Mandarin

Certifications – Must Have (at least one, with corresponding hands‑on experience)

• Alibaba Cloud professional‑level certification — ACP or ACE
• Tencent Cloud professional‑level certification — Cloud Practitioner Professional or Architect Professional

Certifications / Skills – Nice to Have

• H3CNE / H3CSE (Cloud Computing or Routing & Switching), Sangfor SCSA / SCSP, or ZStack ZCCT / ZCCE
• Experience with Chinese domestic technologies — OceanBase, Kylin (麒麟) OS, UOS, openEuler, Dameng, GaussDB — and related certifications
• Cisco CCNA / CCNP or VMware VCP-DCV, useful for migration and mixed‑estate engagements
• Red Hat OpenShift experience or certification (Red Hat Certified OpenShift Administrator, EX280), and RHCSA / RHCE for Linux depth
