Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd is seeking a diligent Banking Operations professional to manage end-to-end processing across loans, payments, and time deposits. The role emphasizes adherence to policy, risk controls and delivering a smooth client journey in Private Banking operations.

The position involves processing loan drawdown, payments and time deposits, while coordinating with RM, CSM and GBS to implement process improvements and automation.

Responsibilities

• Process loan drawdown, loan rollovers, prepayment and other loan admin duties.
• Ensure loan drawdown is within approved credit limit and collateral.
• Approve exceptions per Credit Policy and DOA.
• Support interest statements for clients.
• Authenticate, validate and prioritize remittance payments including SWIFT, CHIPS, FED CHATS, in-house funds transfer and cheques.
• Ensure payments comply with OFAC sanctions.
• Monitor the payment queue to meet system cut-off times.
• Ensure payment transactions comply with Client Authenticated and Trust payment guidelines.
• Verify time deposit setup, renewal and termination.
• Liaise with CA/CSM to clarify instructions and ensure quality service.
• Review time deposit exceptional, maintenance and maturity reports.
• Support campaigns initiated by the business.
• End-to-end management of banking operations processes connected with client servicing and transaction execution.
• Agree with GBS on extra controls to prevent gaps in transactions.
• Collaborate with RM, CSM & GBS to deliver client journey end state and embed best practices.
• Key processes include Payment, Internal fund transfer, Time Deposit and Loans drawdown.
• Support existing and future process and technology initiatives/automation.
• Drive process improvement through digital, paperless, automation initiatives and stakeholder discussions.
• Ensure processes align with client requirements while adhering to the Bank's Operational Risk Framework (ORF).
