Job summary

The Christian Family Service Centre in Hong Kong is seeking a qualified Social Worker to provide school social work services at a designated secondary school. The role includes casework, group work, programmes, and coordinating community resources to benefit students, families and the school.

Requirements include a University Degree in Social Work with registration, English and Chinese language proficiency, and the Child Protection Online Training (Modules 1 & 2).

Qualifications

• University degree in Social Work and registration under Social Workers Registration Ordinance.
• English Language (Syllabus B) and Chinese Language at Grade E or above in HKCEE/Level 2 in HKDSE.
• Possess the Child Protection Online Training (Module 1 & 2) e-certificate.
• Candidates with experience serving Mainland Chinese students and parents will be an advantage.
• Good command of spoken Cantonese and Mandarin.
• 3 years’ relevant post-qualification experience preferable.
• Be able to work independently and to communicate with people at different levels.

Responsibilities

• To provide school social work service in one designated secondary school through provision of casework service, groups, programmes and coordination of community resources for the benefit of students, their families and the school.
• To assist the team to implement youth projects and service development of the team.
