Job summary

Meet the Bund in Hong Kong is seeking a Tea Specialist to lead restaurant tea service, manage tea products, and enhance guest experience. You will bring professional tea knowledge and communicate Chinese tea culture to guests in a clear, natural manner.

Responsibilities include daily tea service, tea preparation, brewing, pairing with dishes, training front-of-house staff, and contributing to product development and menu updates. Fluency in Cantonese and Mandarin with basic English is expected.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Chinese teas and production regions.
• Experience in high-end dining or premium tea brands preferred.
• Able to communicate tea culture clearly to guests.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily restaurant tea service, including brewing and tableside presentation.
• Provide suitable tea recommendations based on dishes, seasons and guest needs.
• Introduce guests to tea leaf origins, varieties, production techniques and flavour characteristics.
• Coordinate with restaurant menu and dining pace to assist in tea and cuisine pairing presentations.
• Manage daily tea leaves, tea ware and related materials, including inventory and maintenance.
• Ensure tea storage, brewing and service standards comply with restaurant requirements.
• Assist in establishing and improving tea service processes, product information and training content.
• Provide basic tea knowledge and service training to front-of-house team.
• Cooperate with new product development, menu updates and tea-related activities.
• Complete other related work as required by operations.

About you

Professional knowledge and practical service experience in Chinese tea, tea art or related fields

Familiar with major Chinese tea types, production regions, brewing methods and basic flavour assessment

Prior experience in high-end restaurants, hotels, tea houses or premium tea brands is preferred

Interest in tea and cuisine pairing, dining experience and Chinese food culture

Good service awareness, communication and expression skills

Neat appearance, careful, patient and possess team collaboration spirit

Fluent in Cantonese and Mandarin, with basic English communication ability

Able to adapt to shift work and holiday arrangements in the food and beverage industry
