Job summary

Zippo in Hong Kong seeks a seasoned business development professional with a strong Southeast Asia sales focus to drive growth from the region. You will leverage the Asia distribution network, develop strategies with partners, and protect brand integrity to achieve targets.

You will maintain relationships with regional distributors and retailers, negotiate targets, and deploy online and offline sales & marketing plans while analyzing pricing and competition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or above in a relevant field.
• 5+ years in business development and account management in consumer products.
• 2+ years overseas client experience; FMCG experience preferred.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Fluent English; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to design promotions to drive demand at channel and consumer levels, develop channels with key accounts, and launch new products into online and offline distribution channels.
• Track market trends, deliver regular sales performance reports and competitor status, resolve market challenges, and increase market share in assigned territories.

Job Responsibilities

• Leverage the Asia distribution network, focus on the Southeast Asia market, formulate and implement business development strategies, identify sales volume and profit growth opportunities with partners, protect brand integrity, handle brand infringement issues, and achieve business objectives.
• Maintain relationships with regional distributors and key retailers, negotiate annual sales targets, deploy online and offline sales & marketing strategies, analyze market pricing and competition landscape, hold regular distributor meetings, and participate in exhibitions and sales conferences.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to design promotional campaigns to drive demand at channel and consumer levels. Develop diverse channels with a focus on key accounts, and launch new products into online and offline distribution channels.
• Keep track of market trends, deliver regular reports on sales performance and competitor status, resolve market challenges, and increase market share in assigned territories.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above. Minimum 5 years of business development and account management experience in consumer products industry, including at least 2 years of overseas client experience. FMCG experience is preferred.
• Hands-on sales experience with fundamental marketing knowledge; strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Fluent written and spoken English. Mandarin proficiency is a plus. Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Able to advise business partners on social media digital marketing strategies. Relevant experience is preferred.
