Job summary

潮州腾瑞皇冠假日酒店 in Hong Kong seeks a skilled cook to prepare and present a range of dishes for our buffet and restaurant operations. You will handle appetizers, salads, sauces, poultry and meat dishes, and desserts while ensuring quality and consistency across all items.

Responsibilities include maintaining hygiene, training kitchen assistants, coordinating with supervisors, and assisting in menu execution. A diploma or vocational certificate in culinary skills and at least 1 year of kitchen

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hotel, the brand and the Company.
• Food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local government agency.
• Problem solving and training abilities.
• Diploma or Vocational Certificate in Culinary Skills or related field.
• 1 year experience as a cook or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents and stores appetizers, savouries, salads, sandwiches, dressings and sauces
• Prepares hot and cold sauces for menu items ensuring quality and consistency
• Prepares and stores dishes containing eggs, vegetables, fruit, rice and farinaceous foods and pulses
• Prepares and presents poultry and game dishes
• Prepares and presents meat dishes, including meat marinades and carves meats
• Prepare and present dessert for buffets
• Prepare and presents cold items for buffet
• Communicates politely and displays courtesy to guests and internal customers
• Provides direction to the kitchen helpers, including Cooks, Kitchen Attendants and Stewards
• Communicates to his/her superior any difficulties, guest or internal customer comments and other relevant information
• Attends and participates in training sessions as scheduled
• Prepares in advance food, beverage, material and equipment needed for the service
• Cleans and re-sets his/her working area
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned
