Patina on Hong Kong Island is seeking an experienced Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality team. This full-time role sits at the heart of our bar operations, crafting exceptional cocktails and delivering outstanding service to guests.

You will prepare a wide range of drinks, take orders, maintain the bar, operate the POS system and support stock control, while upholding safety and brand standards.

Responsibilities

Patina is seeking an experienced and passionate Bartender to join our dynamic hospitality team on Hong Kong Island. This is a full-time position where you will be at the heart of our bar operations, crafting exceptional cocktails and providing outstanding service to our guests. As a Bartender, you will play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our clientele whilst maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and product knowledge. What you'll be doing

• Preparing and serving a wide variety of cocktails, spirits, wines, beers and non-alcoholic beverages to exacting standards
• Taking customer orders efficiently and accurately, whilst providing knowledgeable recommendations based on guest preferences
• Maintaining an immaculate bar area, including cleaning, restocking and organising bottles, glassware and equipment
• Operating the point-of-sale system to process payments and manage till operations
• Monitoring stock levels and communicating with management regarding inventory needs and ordering
• Adhering to health, safety and hygiene regulations, including responsible alcohol service and age verification procedures
• Building rapport with guests and creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits
• Collaborating with other bar staff and the wider hospitality team to ensure seamless service during busy periods
• Following company policies and procedures whilst maintaining consistency with brand standards

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working as a Bartender in a busy hospitality environment, preferably in a cocktail bar or upmarket establishment
• Advanced knowledge of spirits, wines, beers and classic and contemporary cocktail recipes
• Proficiency in mixology techniques and flair bartending, with the ability to prepare drinks efficiently and accurately
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with diverse clientele
• Excellent customer service orientation and a passion for creating exceptional guest experiences
• Ability to work effectively under pressure during peak service times and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and cash handling procedures
• Knowledge of responsible alcohol service practices and local licensing laws
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
• A relevant hospitality qualification or certification in mixology would be advantageous
