Qualifications

• 1-2 years in bar, cafe or hospitality preferred.
• Fluent in English and Cantonese.

Responsibilities

• Operate the POS system and process payments accurately.

About the role

Rizzy Cafe & Bar is seeking a Bartender/ Junior Bartender to join our dynamic bar team in our Central store. This is a full-time position that offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will be at the heart of our operation, crafting quality beverages, providing exceptional customer service, and contributing to the vibrant atmosphere that defines our establishment. This role is essential to our daily operations and provides the foundation for a rewarding career in the hospitality and beverage industry.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and customer preferences with our bar team
• Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and process payments efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including glasses, bottles, tools and equipment
• Stock and manage bar inventory, including monitoring stock levels and requesting supplies as needed
• Provide friendly, professional and attentive service to all customers whilst maintaining high standards of etiquette
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including responsible alcohol service practices
• Collaborate with bar colleagues and other staff members to ensure smooth service during peak times
• Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar at the start and end of shifts
• Learn and apply knowledge of beverages, cocktail ingredients and mixing techniques
• Handle customer queries and concerns professionally and courteously

What we're looking for

• Previous experience working in a bar, café or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential (1-2 years experience preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanour. Fluent in English & Cantonese (preferred)
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
• Willingness to learn bar techniques, cocktail recipes and beverage knowledge
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
