Job summary

WeLab is seeking a senior bancassurance leader to scale the bank's insurance distribution across the Hong Kong market. You will design high-impact sales models with insurer partners, drive frontline performance, and deliver compliant growth aligned with IA/HKMA rules.

The role requires a strong track record in bancassurance, 5+ years of experience, and fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. You will own sales forecasting, pipeline management, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related field.
• Holder of IIQE Papers 1, 2, and 3, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years in bancassurance or insurance distribution within banks or insurers in Hong Kong.
• Proven track record in scaling bancassurance sales for long-term products.
• Deep understanding of insurance products, customer needs, and regulatory requirements.
• Strong commercial acumen with data-driven decision-making.
• Experience in a matrix environment and managing external partners.
• Excellent communication with fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.

Responsibilities

• Scale up bancassurance sales channel for long-term insurance with insurer partners.
• Execute sales strategy for life, CI, medical, retirement and savings products.
• Generate appointments and analyze clients' financial situations to recommend solutions.
• Integrate insurance solutions into the bank’s customer journey for cross-sell.
• Ensure governance and compliance with IA/HKMA and maintain TCF principles.
• Own sales performance including forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting.
