Job summary

PFCC Group is seeking a Backend Engineer in Hong Kong to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services. You will work with Java or Kotlin in a cloud-native microservices environment, building RESTful APIs and event-driven services while ensuring reliability and performance.

You will participate in CI/CD, automation, testing, and production support, collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting to deliver secure and scalable banking platforms.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of hands-on software development experience, backend focus.
• Proficiency with RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architecture.
• Experience with relational databases and SQL queries.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance backend services in a cloud-native microservices environment.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and event-driven services for scalable applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment.
• Deploy and support applications on AWS or similar cloud platforms using containers.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Monitor services, troubleshoot issues, and participate in incident resolution.
• Perform production support and continuous improvement of services.
• Explore AI-assisted coding tools to improve productivity and quality.
