Job summary

Pinpoint Asia is seeking a Lead Java Engineer for a renowned Fintech platform in Hong Kong. You will architect, build and scale core backend services, delivering high‑volume order pricing and placement on a cloud‑native stack.

The role focuses on Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, and event‑driven architecture with Kafka/RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ. You will work with product and operations teams to enable CI/CD, monitor performance, and diagnose complex production issues.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of backend Java development.
• Deep expertise in Spring framework (Spring Boot).
• Strong experience with microservices and event-driven architectures.
• Mandatory knowledge of FIX protocol.
• Solid DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and container orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain robust Java backend services running on Kubernetes.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger) and manage event-driven messaging (Kafka/RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ).
• Collaborate with product for feature delivery and with operations for CI/CD deployments.
• Monitor system performance and troubleshoot production issues.
