Job summary

Michael Page International (HK) Ltd is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications and APIs in a financial services context. You will build scalable microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and modern backend frameworks, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust technical solutions.

You will contribute to DevOps and CI/CD practices, work with Docker/Kubernetes, and leverage AWS cloud capabilities in a Linux

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and modern backend development frameworks.
• Experience designing and building RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Good understanding of software development best practices, including testing, version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid experience with relational databases and SQL.
• Comfortable working in Linux-based environments.
• Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python.
• Experience with DevOps tooling and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Background in financial services, capital markets, banking, or risk management.

Responsibilities
