Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd in Hong Kong seeks a highly skilled Java Backend Engineer to design, develop, and maintain robust financial systems. You will join a global Application Development, Support and Engineering team, delivering secure, scalable microservices and backend services using Java and modern frameworks.

You will collaborate across the SDLC, perform code reviews, and drive automation and best practices while aligning with regulatory and security standards.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 4 years of experience in microservices API development using Java Frameworks.

Mansioni

• Design and maintain backend services using Java 17 or 21 and Spring Boot or Quarkus.
• Implement scalable and maintainable microservices architecture.
• Strong hands-on with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or similar databases.
• Adhere to coding standards, perform code reviews, and refactor code as needed.
• Evolve the craft towards improving automation, simplification, and innovative use of the latest market trends.
• Develop a strategic approach to enhance the efficiency of the SDLC process, delivering high-quality and scalable solutions.
• Vendor coordination, cross-functional collaboration, and delivery governance.
