Mox Bank in Hong Kong (SAR) is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to scale a cloud-native digital banking platform. You will join the Technology-CIO team and build robust backend services in Kotlin or Java.

The role emphasizes API design, microservices, secure and scalable systems, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams. This permanent, full-time position requires a CS degree and AWS experience.

Qualifications

Fluent in Kotlin or Java with solid backend experience.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservices.
Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and CI/CD.
Experience with AWS or similar cloud environments.

Responsibilities

Build and continuously improve backend systems and services.
Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices.
Design and operate reliable, scalable, and secure services.
Write high-quality, maintainable code with strong automated tests.
Build services in Kotlin or Java within a cloud-native microservice architecture.
Work with event streams and relational databases.
Use containers and orchestration platforms to deploy and run services.
Implement continuous integration and delivery practices.
Monitor production services and respond to incidents.
